xxxHolic Anime Review

Hello witches and demons have you ever felt like you're being watched? Or have you ever got that tingle up your spine like a ghost has walked through you? Well that isn't as bad as seeing them! High school student Kimihiro Watanuki is the only one who Can see them! So before I get into my review of this anime maybe I should post the plot behind it all so you all get a better knowing of it so here it is: Kimihiro Watanuki is a high school student plagued by yōkai and ayakashi spirits, both of which are invisible to everyone else but him. The series begins when Watanuki stumbles, seemingly by chance, into a shop that grants wishes. The shop is owned by Yūko Ichihara, a mysterious witch of many names and esoteric renown. For a price, she offers to grant Watanuki's wish to be rid of the spirits. The price, according to Yūko, must be of equal value; so, as payment, he must become Yūko's temporary, part-time cook and housekeeper. While his established job consists of household chores, Yūko increasingly sends him on errands of a supernatural or spiritual nature as the series develops. Himawari Kunogi, Watanuki's love interest, and Shizuka Dōmeki, a classmate whom Watanuki initially detests, occasionally join him in his work as per Yūko's request. The three become increasingly close, and though Watanuki is often annoyed with Dōmeki, he grows to value the new friendships he makes and his life at the wish shop. At the same time, though, he begins to worry about Yūko, wondering if she who grants wishes to others ever has anything to wish for herself. Eventually, he makes a promise to try and grant her a wish, should she have one. So there you have it! The plot of the anime now it's time for my review! I had doubts about this anime because of how I saw it placed in Tsubasa Chronicle but I am pleased with it. I enjoyed the super-natural as well as the horror with a slice of life thrown into the mix, I am a big fan of horror anime but not such a fan of super-natural anime but xxxHolic turned out to be good. xxxHolic's stories are based on Superstitious tales and folklore, it's better then the vampires, werewolves and zombie that seem too common now a days and superstitious beliefs are something that everyone has believed in at one time or other. I know some of the superstitions they have used I believed in when I was a little girl. Now that most of us are older we tend not to believe in stuff like this anymore. xxxHolic gives you the feeling that it's trying to being back tales, tradition and culture in a world of anime where science-fiction rules and where stories are always centered on finding one's identity or world peace or getting revenge on someone for what they did in the past. xxxHolic is refreshing in that sense to me it felt like each episode had a lesson in it that probably everyone has learned one time or another or has felt like that one who would love to teach that lesson to someone else. Since the anime deals with the super-natural some episode are creepy and watching it in the dark alone can raise that creepiness. It could take a while to used to the character designs, such as long limbs or that extras, such as people or backgrounds, are never given color or features. Like some anime xxxHolic only has a few main characters and they are very well developed. Our suffering protagonist Kimihiro Watanuki maybe down about his ability to see spirits but that doesn't stop him from living a more or less normal life of a high school student. I feel bad for especially when he deals with Yuuko who always seems to give him the oddest chores ever. Then we have the unpredictable and sarcastic Yuuko who I believe has more tricks up her sleeve then what she lets on. Then we have our airhead Doumeki who shares a deep bond with Watanuki and our cheerful Himawari who is the object of our Watanuki's infatuation. This anime contains 24 episodes, 25 minutes each Rated PG-12 (Violence and Mature themes) Recommended Audience Mature audience, teens and above. Some of the episode could be disturbing when some of Yuuko's clients meet with horrible fates.

HenNeko, The 'Hentai' prince and the stoney cat Anime Review

Ghost and Ghouls do I have a cute anime for you today! It's actually pretty new too released in 2013 so it's not that old. This anime is called HenNeko or The 'Hentai' Prince and the Stoney Cat is a sweet anime, which is rare for me to actually watch I don't care for sugary sweet things lol. This anime is actually short with only 12 episodes I say maybe if your over the age of 15 you can watch this because the main character is somewhat of a pervert. In this one the term 'Hentai' means Pervert so don't worry about this word at all it's nothing that bad. Our main character who's a boy is Youto Yokodera who has a façade and it stops him from saying what's really on his mind so he keeps everything he wants to say to himself. Our main girl character is Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi she shows her emotions way to easily and she hates that what she's feeling is written all over her face. One day Youto friends Ponta tells him about the Stoney Cat on top of the hill in front of the only tree and how it grants wishes for a price. You must bring something to sacrifice to the cat god and he will take what you don't need from you and give it to someone who does need it. So our hero goes to the cat god to ask him to get rid of his façade, By the way his friend who told him about it ask the god to get rid of his lust so he would stop being such a perv and it actually works he helps homeless kids now!, anyway Youto has brought his Dutch Wife who he names Barbara to offer her up and this is where our heroine shows up she sees Youto and freaks out when she spots the Dutch Wife he has calling him a pervert and saying she was going to tell the cops so he ends up chasing her around the tree trying to explain himself to her and catches her but ends up falling on top of her which freaks her out more. Now he can explain the situation to her and he ends it by saying "I'm not a pervert!" while he still pining her down so she asks him to please get off her and they sit under the tree talking he explains he hates his façade and wants to get rid of it to so he can speak his mind. She explains to him she knows how he feels that she wants to get rid of her emotion because she tired of having what she's feeling written on her face she wants to have a 'poker' face. So they prey to the cat god and a bright beam of light hits them they don't think it worked even though the beat he had around Barbara to carry was gone and one of Tsukiko's meat buns where gone, which she was upset about but it didn't show!, they go home and go to sleep and the fun starts the next day. On the way to school at the front gate a boy is confessing his love to our other main girl Azuki, after she denies his confession Youto speaks his mind to his friend saying how flat chested she was and insulting her, he doesn't realize why he's saying all this and he continues to speak his mind while Azuki tries to hold back what she really wants to say, it was then that Youto realized he lost his façade! Later on in the day from speaking his mind and letting the pervert inside show he ends up with the nickname 'Pervert Prince' or 'Hentai Prince' that is when Tsukiko makes her appearance he doesn't realize it's her at first till she pulls him down making him fall on top of her and he has a flashback of who she is, she then explains that the cat god did grant her wish for now she is emotionless and it's causing her even more problems now. So they make a pact she will help him get his façade back and he will help her get her emotions back! Now join them in their adventure to uncover truths about before, why Youto doesn't have many memories of his past and can't even remember the people he's suppose to remember. While him and Tsukiko's relationship gets complicated and the girls that will also change his life, like Tsukiko's sister Tsukushi aka Queen of steel. We will follow this sweet story as we also learn the cat gods true intention and how evil it can be and the role of Youto in the cat gods life and why it has it out to get Youto. Now it is time for all of you to go watch it because if I say anymore I will spoil the whole show! Must keep some of it a secret!! Oh! One last thing this story has a LOVE TRIANGLE! or maybe more like a love square in a few episodes lol! I hope you like this anime as much as I did!

Dangan Ronpa The animation review

Upupupup Hello boys and girls! This is Monokuma! Here to tell you about my amazing animation! Not really I wish Monobear was here because he was one of my favorite characters in this despair filled anime because he was always so cheery! So today we bring you a popular anime which is also a video game that many people I know love! Dangan Ronpa is despair itself because the people who are trapped are to kill their classmates in order to escape the school but there's a catch! Monobear will not allow that! In order to graduate you must kill one of your classmates and not get caught. They have a classroom trail and if you are caught you will be killed by Monobear but! If your classmates don't get that its you who killed that person then you will be killed instead and the murderer gets to walk free on the outside. Some may think 'why don't they just leave the school?' Good question! The school is sealed shut by many steel bolts! and there is no way out which is kind of sad.... A few of my favorite characters died... Actually only 6 characters survive the whole thing and get out of the school alive! They catch the mastermind behind everything and in the final classroom trial they have the mastermind put to death (Which was fine because the mastermind just wanted to feel despair and being put to death was the ultimate thing to him/her) I will not say who the mastermind is or which characters died or stayed alive because that would ruin the game and anime for you! I will say this 16 people came to the school alive and only 6 made it out alive and Monobear is not happy that he lost to a group of children. The outside world may hold truths to what was said inside the school but they may not want to find out what truly has happened I will also say this the main character is the 'hope' that they all look for. The Classroom trials are brutal everyone has to suspect everyone while the murderer tries to get your attention away from them and blame someone else for what has happened to everyone. At the same time they have a certain amount of time to investigate the crime scene and try to discover what has truly happened in that time and who the culprit could of been. If your into Crime shows I'm certain you'll enjoy Dangan Ronpa. The murders are also brutal and fit the person their meant for, in other words things that person are good at, okay I going to spoil the first one Leon was the first murderer and he was found guilty he is the 'Super duper high school baseball player' so his punishment was a million baseball flying at him and he was chained to a post and monokuma was hitting them at him so he died. That how a lot of the punishments are and some are kind of trippy. Sadly so many innocent lives were lost and at the end of the anime they get the shock of their lives Spolier! At the end they learn they all have amnesia and that they been at the school for 2 years they were the ones who locked themselves inside because the outside world was in so much despair that people where killing each other so the children made the school into a shelter. which they forgot about they were all class mates and really special students in their own ways so they were actually killing their friends the whole time while they thought no one knew each other that they were all perfect strangers. Wrong! and Monobear enjoyed the looks on their faces when they learned the truth about how they all killed their best friends! That is why this anime is so full of despair. I know I said I wouldn't give away any details but I did spoiler warnings! It was killing me that I had to keep a lot of it quiet! Plus with more information the more likely people are to watch it! I love this anime with all my heart and soul this one is actually my favorite. I learned about this in my anime club. I hope all of you who read this like it also. Also remember if your in despair never despair alone! Fine someone to bring down with you! I hope you all enjoy all the betrayal that is located throughout this anime! Oh and one more spoiler. Their were 16 students traped the whole time but they only knew of 15 one of them was working for Monobear actually I should say 'There were two despairs in the school' Can you figure out from the pictures who was hiding the whole time?

Paradise Kiss Anime Review

Good evening Ghouls today I bring yet another interesting anime(Contains Spoilers) called Paradise Kiss (which is also a manga,5 volumes) the anime has a total of 12 episodes but I also warn you this is not for people under the age of 16, it's a romance anime mixed together with a bunch of things so if I had to name them all it has romance, heart break, sex, fashion, dreams and school life it probably has more things but I can't really think of what else to say! We follow Yukiari who doesn't really enjoy life, all she does is study because of her mother who wants her to exceed at everything she does, one day while walking home a boy named Arashi tells her she is perfect to be the model for them, but not that way in fact she thinks he's going to kidnap her or something, and ends up fainting when she comes too she sees a pink haired girl named Miwako along with Isabella, who is actually a man but dresses as a girl and he is beautiful he could put most girls to shame with his looks, Anyway! They tell her that they attend Yazawa school of Design and they want her to be the model for the schools fashion show, but she doesn't agree right away with what they want her to do and leaves Miwako ends up running after her and calls her Caroline, seeing how they don't know her name and this nickname sticks with her, yukiari still leaves but drops her student I.D book. Enter George the gorgeous bi guy who is also kind of an asshole sadly, he sees her picture from her I.D book and decides he likes her for his look he's going for with his design. He goes to her school and waits for her, she doesn't like it but ends up following him so she can get her I.D back because in the back of it she has a picture of her crush and she doesn't want anyone to see it or know that she likes him, Tokumori Hiroshi, she ends back at Paradise Kiss, which is their studio for designing their clothes. Miwako is the first to greet her and after talking to her for awhile Yukiari decides she'll think about taking the modeling. George gives her 3 days to decide what she will do. After thinking for some time she decides she wants to do it, after getting in a hot and heavy kiss with George, Now comes all the drama between all the couples, George and Yukiari and Miwako and Arashi. Miwako and Arashi are actually childhood friends with Tokumori and Miwako doesn't want to see him ever again because Arashi is jealous and tells her if she does he'll break up with her. As things heat up with George and Yukiari she falls deeper in love with him and only gets hurt by his actions since he's never taken a relationship seriously. As the Fashion show comes closer Yukiari decides she wants more out of life and runs away from home when her mother doesn't want her to have anything to do with them anymore and Arashi lends her his place for a while and moves back home, After one night with George she moves in with him and he gives Arashi his key back. Meanwhile Tokumori tells Arashi that Miwako talked to him \, he didn't know that Miwako didn't tell him, and he gets pissed at Miwako and they have a fight. At the end George goes to Paris to fulfill his dream and Isabella goes with him, Miwako helps her sister, Arashi helps make clothes still and Yukiari ends up as a professional model. Because all their roads are different Yukiari and George break up at the end, even George cries because he was truly in love with her, and at the end they don't end up together but George did leave her all the clothes he has ever made including the dress they used at the fashion show. She ends up getting married to Tokumori, who has been in love with her for a long time and waited for her while she was still with George, and she wears the dress she wore at the fashion show as her wedding dress she keept everything George gave her and is now happy with her life as a model and as a bride with Tokumori, but you'll have to watch it to fill in the blanks I have left =^.^= Isabella (purple hair), George (blue hair), Yukiari (black hair), Arashi (blond hair), and Miwako (pink hair) Tokumori

Wolf's Rain Anime Review

Good evening Ghouls of all ages today will be the review for a sad anime that I have just finished and it is Wolf's Rain and I will warn you know it contains Spoilers this anime has 30 episodes. Actually it has 26 episodes and 27-30 are OVAs but if you don't watch 27-30 you won't know what truly happens at the end. I watched it all and I'm still a bit confused sadly, but the propose of it was so that everyone can have their own version of how it should have ended. Kiba along with his friends Tsume, Hige and Toboe are all wolves but in this world wolves are feared and killed so in order to stay alive the wolves have 'cast a spell' on humans so that they can look just like a human even though they are actually wolves. Brings a new meaning to the saying 'Wolf in sheep clothing' anyway joking aside! This anime is bloody and depressing so I say that if you are one of those people who love happy endings and fairy tales DONT WATCH WOLF'S RAIN!!! The wolf's are after the flower maiden Cheza who is a human the was created out of Lunar Flowers and is said to lead the wolves to paradise which is where all wolves try to find and go, but it's not easy around ever corner someone is trying to stop them or worse kill them. Enter the old man Quent who is on a mission to kill all the wolves that he can find along with his faithful dog Blue. The gang runs into Quent a lot of times and out of all those times he's found them and tried to kill them with the gun he carries around. The only reason he hates wolves is because he believes they killed his family when his little village burned down he saw wolves in the fire killing his wife and son. Enough about him though watch the anime for the full story! Cheza, the flower maiden, has a spot for all wolves but Kiba is special she has been waiting for him and she even says that she has been waiting for the white wolf. Kiba is a special wolf because when his whole village was killed he made it out alive and he was only a pup. Tsume who seems to be all tough actually is kind deep down inside him, but he been betrayed and he has also betrayed others, when he was still in the city he used humans and then they turned on him, they didn't know he was a wolf but they knew he wasn't normal. Toboe who is the youngest of the group is confused at times because he grew up with an old lady who raised him but when she died he didn't know what to do and that's when he started to take the form of a human. Hige doesn't really remember anything but he stayed loyal to them even at the end when he finally regained his lost memories or sealed memories he tried to make everything right by fighting the bad guy at the end and...... died trying to beat him. Blue is a half breed she's a wolf mixed with a dog and doesn't ever find out until she meets Cheza and Cheza tells her so she leaves pops side and sets out with the gang who don't welcome her at first, except Hige because he likes her, but after she risks her life to protect Cheza and is taken prisoner with Cheza the guys find themselves running after not only Cheza but also running after Blue. Blue also has a soft spot for Hige (Its so cute too) and even tells him to run away with her so they can find their own Paradise. I think that's enough information about the anime though I don't want to ruin everything else. Just be prepared for sadness at the very end..... I hope you enjoy it!
